JCB Toughphone hits the shelves

Peter-Jones.jpg
JCB's new Toughphone claims to be the toughest phone in the world and is drop, shock, splash and dust resistant - making it suitable for use on construction sites. The phone is also backed by a 3-year guarantee.

The tri-band phone can be used on any network and will work in most countries in the world. It has dual speakers (for use in noisy conditions), Bluetooth connectivity with up to four hours talktime and 200 hours on standby.

At the launch, millionaire 'Dragons Den' star Peter Jones saw the phone pushed off the top of a digger, run over by a 1.5t Groundhog, covered in dirt in a cement mixer and doused in water before he used it to make a call.
