BuildersBOXLIVE200.jpgBuilding on the success of last year’s show the SED team is launching a brand new zone at SED 2008 (13th – 15th May at Rockingham Motor Speedway, Corby Northamptonshire)– Builders Box Live – which is an indoor area, located within the green pavilion, dedicated to the small professional builder and trade professional.

Tools will be making a big impact at Builders Box Live with many of the leading manufacturers exhibiting and demonstrating both existing and brand new products.

Trend Machinery will exhibit a range of time saving Routing and Woodworking Solutions designed to save you money. On the company’s stand visitors will see Jigs and Routers being demonstrated.

Poppers Senco will be bringing the TyTecker rebar tying tool to Builders Box Live this year which is a unique, long-reach, power-tying system that permits rebar tying up to 3 times faster than is achievable manually.

Makita is renowned for innovation and remains a pioneer in anti-vibration technology. Makita’s new market-leading Lithium-Ion battery technology provides durable, lightweight tools with enhanced performance. The company is at SED this year with an extensive range of machines and an inventory of over 400 high performance products.

JKS UK (Lenpart) is launching the ‘world’s first one stop shop’ for both Husqvarna Construction and Outdoor products, also Husqvarna PPE and General Workwear. The company is also bringing products from CEDMIA and Brokk Hire.

Hitachi Power Tools (UK) make their first appearance at SED and will be showing the market leading Lithium-Ion cordless range, new woodworking & metalworking tools, as well as User Vibration Protection (UVP) machines with some of the lowest vibration levels on the market.

Also on display for the first time is the Hitachi range of Outdoor Power Equipment featuring chainsaws, brushcutters, line trimmers, hedgetrimmers, blowers, augers and drills.

G & J Hall is showing specialist tools for the industrial engineer and tradesman. Fein Industrial Power Tools is also exhibiting its range of power tools, which boast reliability, sturdiness, a high level of safety and precision, and low wear and tear.

ABRACS is one the UK’s leading distributors of abrasives and allied products. Our product range includes abrasive discs, flap discs, sanding discs, coated abrasives, wire brushes, diamond blades.

DTAS the Sheffield based Diamond Tools specialist is exhibiting at SED for the first time this year. The company is showing its latest innovation – the Duro Ultra Rippa blade.

If you need your power tools repaired then pay a visit to the Elcocks stand. The company also sells and hires most brands of power tools and provides training on Abrasive Wheels and the correct and safe use of power tools.

Floor sanding experts Bonakemi will be exhibiting for the first time bringing the Parkett & Co, which is a complete system of Swedish sanding machines, abrasives, adhesives and finishes, to bring out the best in wooden floors.

Ceramix and its partner Vitretek produce high performance ceramic concrete products, including polished concrete, which have numerous applications as surfaces, flooring, paving and street furniture.

A number of industry bodies will also exhibiting at Builders Box Live to offer advice and to recruit more members.

The FMB (Federation of Master Builders) is the largest trade association in the UK building industry, will be on hand to offer its members and new members professional advice and business building services to save members both time and money.

The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) will be offering support, information, and advice on how to protect yourself and your workforce against high levels of noise exposure, or how you can learn to live a full and active life with tinnitus,

The Drilling and Sawing Association (DSA) will be introducing the Diamond Zone, where they and supplier members will be promoting the benefits of specialist Drilling and Sawing techniques, exhibiting a range of diamond cutting equipment. There will also be regular demonstrations by skilled operators.

The HAE (Hire Association Europe) is the leading body for the hire industry in the UK and Ireland protecting, developing, supporting and promoting their members. The association will be at SED and will also be hosting regular seminars topics include, Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS), Compulsory Drivers CPC Training, Manage Hand Arm Vibration, Health and Safety Management, Dust Control, eCommerce in the Hire Industry and Hire vs Buy.

Other exhibitors to look out for include, Brokk UK, Chainings, Erento GMBH, Gerry Rose Construction Sales, DustControl UK and Trade Direct Insurance.
